why do some Christians think that Pagan/Wicca beliefs are "evil"?
For some reason on here I've noticed that many people consider Wicca to be "dark magic" or Wiccans/Pagans to be "followers of Satan"
NEWSFLASH!!
Pagans/Wiccans DON'T believe in Satan. Satan is a Christianity-based figment, so what makes people think that non-christians believe in him??
not notice, I didn't say ALL christians, I said only some. Don't bite my head off because I'm curious, and don't give me bible verses. The bible was written by man, therefore it contains error.

A lot of them have bad (as in false) information about what we believe and practice. For example, Wicca has nothing to do with any being equivalent to the Christian concept of Satan (as you mentioned).
However... Christianity and Wicca are not reconcilable on a number of levels. So they're certainly justified in saying that we do not believe as they do, and that in fact our belief systems disagree with each other on certain key points ("original sin" and the "fallen" nature of the physical universe being just two).
I am not bothered by Christians disagreeing with us. What DOES bother me is them spreading lies about us in order to further their own agendas (which certainly happens more than most of them would like to admit, I reckon).
EDITED TO ADD: How interesting (and not entirely unexpected) to see the "you're children of Satan!" responses already being trotted out. Fortunately most Christians are not prone to so blatantly demonizing those who disagree with them.
